Alex Whisler - Owner

While most kids grow up wanting to be a cowboy, from a young age, Alex was obsessed with the western way of life. After his first trip to Wyoming at age 4, it became his dream to return to Wyoming to be a cowboy. Throughout his teen/college years he acquired his first horse, worked at a thoroughbred farm, volunteered at several Cowboy Camps and strived to be the best horseman/rider he could be.
In 2012, he was given the opportunity to apprentice at Ringler Custom Leather in Clark, Wyoming. At the same time was hired as the Equine Director at a nearby boys home. During his time as an apprentice at Ringler Leather, Alex’s now father-in-law, Von Ringler, taught him the valuable skills of horseshoeing and packing. After apprenticing for close to a year, Alex was offered a full time position in the leather shop. Quality, hand made leather work was the main focus at Ringler’s and Alex uses that same philosophy in his own leather business today.
After many years, he returned to work at the boys home where he and his good friend Tyler worked on developing a quality horse program. While at the boys home, he improved his teaching skills by instructing the boys on how to ride and how to handle sensitive horses. He also helped organize and lead many long trail rides in the mountains.
In the summer of 2020, Alex participated in the Double Dan Horsemanship Training & Management Program. During his 5 week stay in Kentucky, he gained additional skills in horsemanship by learning many aspects of riding, liberty work and colt starting. As an added bonus, the class was also taught valuable lessons in self marketing and business management. From here, Alex began to develop the Pony Express USA LLC.

Ashley Whisler - Business Manager

There really hasn't been a moment in her life that Ashley hasn't been with horses. She was put on a horse just a few days after after being born. Throughout her entire life, all of her fun times as a kid was centered around trail riding, pack trips, hunting and rodeo. Ashley remembers trips into the back country where she started riding in front of her parents, than moved to behind the saddle and finally on her own horse. For her, a 20 mile ride into the national forest was something she looked forward to all year long.
Ashley also spent much of her time competing in junior and high school rodeo. She competed in events like barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying and break away roping. Ashley has won a dresser full of buckles from rodeos all across the state of Wyoming. Most of these buckles and pack trips have been on her faithful mare, Cheyenne. There is nothing these two haven't done together over the past 28 years. Cheyenne even loved to give Ashley a little grief now and then just to see if she was paying attention.
Currently Ashley spends most of her time as a para-educator at the local elementary school. When she is not teaching she is home taking care of our two wonderful boys, Ryder and Ridge. Her favorite activities with the boys is watching them play together, taking them on walks and swimming our friends reservoir. To this day, one of Ashley's most favorite things to do is go hunting in the fall on her faithful horse Oakley. The two of them have logged many miles in the Shoshone National Forrest hunting elk and deer. Ashley is an amazing wife, mother and horsewoman.
